National Library Week
Libraries = Strong Communities: National Library Week is April 7-13
Cuyahoga Falls Library joins libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians and library workers. The library invites patrons to celebrate National Library week by visiting the library, sharing stories of the library’s impact or engaging with @FallsLibrary on social media. As technology and societal needs evolve, so does the Cuyahoga Falls Library. Through the development of the MakerSpace, an addition of a Tech Trainer and various other collection upgrades, the library is always focused on meeting the needs of the community.
“Promoting accessibility, lifelong learning, excellent customer service and positive organizational development are key elements of our strategic initiative,” said library director Valerie Kocin. “By offering a digital collection, technology classes, materials for English-language learners, and programs for job seekers, our team listens to the community we serve, and we respond.”
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.
