Dream BIG - Read! Information for Parents

The Library's Summer Reading Program, DREAM BIG - READ! takes place from Tuesday, June 5 through Saturday, July 28. This program is for children of all ages. It's a fun early literacy start for young children, and studies show it is one of the best and most effective ways for school age children to reduce summer brain drain.

Register in the Children's Room or online starting June 5 or any day throughout the summer. Kids of all ages read or are read to for chances to win coupons, books & prizes (while supplies last; all prizes are subject to change). NEW this year! Weekly prizes for "Ten Book Check Out" will include gift certificates to either The Akron Zoo, Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Rec or Chuck E. Cheese. Detailed information will be available at the time of registration.

WACKY WEDNESDAY: June 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25 @ 11:00 for ages 3 - 7. Weekly art, craft or science fun. This program will begin promptly at 11:00 each week.

TERRIFIC THURSDAY: June 14, 21, 28, July 12, 19 @ 2:00 for ages 8 - 12. Weekly art, craft or science fun. This program will begin promptly at 2:00 each week. July 5 Fun, Fun, Fun with Flowers will be presented by the Leaf & Blossom Garden Club.

Dream BIG - Read! Summer Storytimes

Summer Storytimes will be in session from June 12 - July 25. Registration is not required for summer story times. All storytime programs are free.

Rock-a-Bye Tales: Tuesday at 9:30. Babies & toddlers ages 6-24 months along with a caregiver

Read to Me for 2's & 3's: Tuesday at 10:00. 2 & 3 year olds along with a caregiver

Stories Alive for 4's & 5's: Tuesday at 11:00. 4 & 5 year olds along with a caregiver

Dreams Alive for 2 - 5's: Thursday at 10:00. 2 - 5 year olds along with a caregiver

Children's Poetry Contest

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of the Poet's Nook/Cuyahoga Falls Library Poetry Contest. The members of the Poet's Nook judged the entries and winners received cash prizes.
