Library Plans to Reopen in Phases

Posted by ayurosko on

Dear Library Customer,

The Cuyahoga Falls Library’s top priority is the health and safety of staff and community.

The library plans to reopen in phases following COVID-19 recommendations from the CDC, Governor DeWine’s Responsible Restart Ohio, government officials, and local authorities. These guidelines will continue to guide decisions over the coming weeks and months. The Cuyahoga Falls Library plans to remain closed through at least May 31 and all in-house library programming is canceled through June 30.

While the building is closed, teams of library staff are working on safety procedures and protocols to reopen in phases that include drive-thru window and curbside service. To enhance the safety of staff and customers, we are rearranging and sanitizing the interior of the entire building. We hope to reopen the book drop prior to reopening the building. All overdue fines during the closure will be waived.

While our doors are closed, the following services will still be offered through the library:

* Contact us by phone, email, and online. For reference questions, call 330-928-2117, leave a message, and staff will return your call between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also, our tech trainer will be returning calls from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays.

* Free WiFi is available in the library parking lot 24/7. * Visit for access to digital ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music, online learning and more.

* If you don’t have a library card, you can sign-up for a digital card by visiting

* Visit our Facebook page for updates on virtual programming offerings.

Thank you for your tremendous support during this public health crisis. The decisions we willingly take to stay home, wear masks, and practice social distancing will protect our loved ones.

We miss our customers and look forward to seeing you again.

Stay well,

Valerie Kocin
Director, Cuyahoga Falls Library
